Since 2008, Bill Roper has served as president of Roper Capital Company, a private investment firm based in La Jolla, California, with investments in small-to-midsize businesses and early stage enterprises.

Prior to forming Roper Capital, Bill served as president & chief executive officer of VeriSign, Inc. from 2007 to 2008, and served as a member of VeriSign’s board of directors from 2003 to 2008. From 2000 to 2007, Bill served as an executive vice president of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and as senior vice president and chief financial officer of SAIC from 1990 to 2000. Bill has significant expertise and perspective as a member of the boards of directors of private and public companies in various industries, including defense, technology, internet infrastructure, and banking.

Bill currently serves as a member of the boards of ADS, Inc., Internet Content Management, Leap Wireless International, Inc., Regents Bank, NA, and SkinMedica, Inc. Bill holds a BA degree in mathematics from the University of Mississippi.
