We understand the “new norm” of constant technological advancement and the transition to open, commoditized software. Our approach to engineering reflects the demands of this shift in the integration of loosely coupled systems-of-systems based on COI-embraced open-standards and commercial products refined to meet mission requirements.  We take this one step further, by actively pursuing the application of solutions from across the federal space.  This allows one agency or government entity to benefit from the efforts of its peers throughout the whole of government. We have formalized these approaches to support application across any number of challenges either defense or in support of civil agencies.

Our mix of both quantitative and qualitative systems engineering expertise facilitates an approach that meets today’s requirement for highly secure systems while enabling the integration of loosely-coupled, standards-based components to minimize vendor-lock in and drastically reduce total cost of ownership over the long term of system deployment.

We believe that major steps forward can be made without disrupting the technical infrastructure of existing federal and defense systems, but brings massive improvement to the operational users. Previous attempts to modernize have resulted in “architectures,” that were interesting to computer scientists in labs and system administrators data centers, but offered no capability enhancement to operational analysts and civil servants.
